Maymester 2020 Course [Online Course]: ASIA/JWST/PWAD 235: Israeli Cinema: Nation, Gender and Ethnicity with Yaron Shemer. VP/BN/GL. This course is designed for students of Middle Eastern Studies, Jewish and Hebrew Studies, Communications, Women’s Studies, Global Cinema, and for all students interested in learning about Israeli culture and society as represented in cinema. The class will explore the modes of expression by which contemporary Israeli films often depict a multifaceted and conflicted nascent society.
