UPDATE: The initial challenge of 10 gifts was achieved before 12 noon and our generous donor has increased the challenge to: 20 gifts on Giving Day and he will make a $20,000 gift.
Carolina’s Giving Day is Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
As a friend of the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies, we hope you will consider making your gift to support the Center
during this one-day event. And, if you do, your gift will have an even greater impact…
If 10 donors make a gift to support the Center on Giving Day, David Kaplan ’93, a current member of the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies Advisory Board, will make a $10,000 gift.
David supports the scholarly pursuit of Jewish Studies and wants to make that pursuit accessible to a broader audience. David also gives in honor of his father, Dr. Martin P. Kaplan who passed away in 2020. Martin was active in the Jewish community of Lexington, including service as the President of Temple Adath Israel and on the board of the Central Kentucky Jewish Federation. To honor his father, David recently established the Dr. Martin P. Kaplan Memorial Excellence Fund in Jewish Studies. David’s generous match will continue to honor his father through support of the Center’s most pressing needs.
You can help us raise this $10,000 by making a gift at any level to the Center on Giving Day! Please learn more about the Center and how our alumni and friends make everything we do possible:
