Assistant Professor in Medieval/Early Modern Jewish History

The Department of History at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, invites applications for a tenure-track position as assistant professor in medieval/early modern Jewish history. The successful applicant will also hold the position of the Stuart E. Eizenstat Fellow at UNC-CH. The position will involve active and ongoing participation in the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies. The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching and service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education. Applicants must have Ph.D. in hand in the field of history, Jewish studies or a related field by July 1, 2023.
