We call on the administration, faculty and students to find ways forward
that promote dialogue and discussion, not further disturbance.
The Carolina Center for Jewish Studies is deeply dismayed by the disruptive and hostile protests that occurred today on campus. The use of loudspeakers in hallways during class time, the acts of vandalism, and the overall insensitivity to the impact of their words and actions on others are contrary to the educational goals of our university, and deeply upsetting for Jewish students in particular. We call on the administration, faculty and students to find ways forward that promote dialogue and discussion, not further disturbance.
