We are looking forward to meeting you off campus!
On Dec 22nd, we hosted an activity table at the Levin JCC‘s Hanukkah Festival. In photo: Megan Weddle, office coordinator, led the craft station and met with hundreds of visitors.
In spring semester faculty members will present at the JCC’s Friday Lecture Series. Eliza Rose is presenting on April 4th and Patricia Rosenmeyer on May 2nd.
Please save the dates:
In February, we have two faculty members visiting the NC Museum of Art for a book launch for The Lives of Jewish Things. This book was created after the symposium entitled, “Wandering Objects: Collecting and Curating Jewish Material Culture,” that the Center co-organized with the North Carolina Museum of Art in 2018. This is scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, February 16th.
We are also planning a poetry reading/conversation for the afternoon of Sunday, June 22, 2025. This off-campus event is part of our new collaboration with Yetzirah, a nonprofit literary organization based in Asheville, NC, and is in the early planning phase.
Please check our events calendar for more information on these events and to see new events as they get finalized and scheduled.
