New Community Partnership:
The Center is excited to announce a new partnership with Yetzirah, a nonprofit literary organization based in Asheville, NC. Yetzirah is dedicated to fostering and supporting a community space for Jewish poets, nourishing writers and readers of Jewish poetry now and for generations to come. Yetzirah organizes readings, book clubs and writing workshops and is building a database of Jewish writers.
The Center and Yetzirah are collaborating on a week-long conference at Carolina in June 2026 and the community is invited to join us for readings and talks. Prior to this, we are planning for literary events in the Chapel Hill area and creating experiential learning opportunities for students.
Our first event is scheduled for Sunday, June 22, 3:00pm, at Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill: Victoria Redel in conversation with Richard Chess.
